Comedy ::
The movie is based on a true story of a volleyball
team that unexpectedly won the 28th National Volleyball Championship at
Nakonsawan.
What set this Lumpang team apart from
other teams was that most members were openly gays. Only Chai,
the team's captain, was a straight man. The rest of the team,
which included Jung, Mon, Nong, Pia and Wit, were all gays.
Despite the unusual assemble, they were
able to beat the odds and won the local competition to represent the
volleyball team of Northern Thailand. They played with
styles that both entertained and excite the audience.
Months later, they were back together to
prepare for the National competition. Calling themselves "Iron
Lady, " the team had to overcome prejudices from judges, other
teams and within the team itself.
Having determination and open-mindedness
was the only thing that would help keeping the team triumph over
obstacles and achieved their goal.
PS. This is a funny film the whole family
can enjoy. The homosexuals are portrayed as real humans, not just
silly one dimensional characters you see in most Thai lakons. Tik
plays the only straight lead character in the team ::whew::
