Summary |
Drama ::
In the beginning of World War II, Thai government ordered money bills to be manufactured in Chawa. During the transportation of money through Singapore to Bangkok, a group of people robbed the train and got away with some of it. The government decided not to use these money. After the war was over, the country was in recession. The new government decided to use the money by printing new price on top of it with black inks and devalued it from 10 bahts to 50 satangs. (1 baht = 100 satangs)
And that was the beginning of the story and the journey of hope in search of lost money. The people who took the risk to find money were also finding themselves. Whether or not the money would bring happiness they all hope for, you can find out in SATANG
NOTE:: I really like this movie and think that there should be more of quality Thai films like Satang. I strongly recommend it to all of you who haven't seen it yet. I confessed that I saw the movie the first time because Tik was in it, and I'm glad I did not miss out on such a good film.
